Salta is the capital of the Province of Salta. At present there are many institutions that cultivate literature, painting, sculpture, dance, music and other artistic expressions. The accommodation is mainly in the provincial capital from where it can be purchased very easily dierent tours (which are performed in the day) to anywhere in the province, including the Quebrada de Humahuaca and Purmamarca (Jujuy Province) and the City of San Salvador de Jujuy (the provincial capital)
